Carved walnut case is 34 inches high, 19 inches wide, and expertly carved all over the front, no doubt has been refinished at some time in its 200 year life. One carved ear broken and expertly repaired. Latched doors each side of the upper box and another underneath the base. This is a very heavy, solid clock. The single barrel pendulum swings in front of a mirror attached to the backboard. Some minor silver loss to the mirror. Double fusee movement, with cable, runs 8 days and strikes a bell on the hours. Original paint on the iron dial, less than 5% paint loss. The dial is signed by the maker. Good original hands. All the front glass has been replaced over time. Surprising it lasts as long as it does.
