8 day movement is signed, "Brewster and Ingrahams, Bristol, Ct. US". Dial is signed, "Brewster and Ingrahams. Bristol, Ct.U.S.". Clock ca 1845-1850. You can see immediately why this pretty rare clock is even more rare, the gold designs on the case front. Very little gold worn off, as usual where the hands touch the door when opening and closing. This clock is 100%; glasses with all the original putty in place, good old dial (a heck fire scratch from the 7 to the center), and a great 19" mahogany veneer case. Everything clean, running, and striking the coil gong each hour. Key locking door with ivory escutcheon.
