This one is an opportunity. This clock was purchased at auction in 1990 and put in a pile to be restored "someday". It is dirty, gong base and rods are rusted, pendulum bob is pitting a little, but once you get past the dirt you will see great potential. There is a band of silver-nickel metal around the door. Dial ring and pendulum bob made of the same material. Great beveled and leaded glasses. 8 day movement plays Westminster chimes on 12 rods, 8 on one side, 4 on the other. Dial is signed by a French company. Movement is difficult to remove, I didn't check for a maker. The 28 inches high case is rather plain, but complete, needs finish.
