This Patti V.P. (Visible Pendulum) came to us as part of a large collection from Oregon. Most of the clocks had been in an attic for years. Only thing I can find that is not original is the minute hand. The black walnut case has never been cleaned or refinished, and retains the 120 years accumulation of smoke and oils on the wood. There is no case damage, glasses and dial are original. Most of the old label remains on the back. Movement is 8 day, time, strike, and alarm. Alarms and strikes hours on a nickel bell. The alarm winds thru the front of the bell, and the alarm mechanism is inside the bell. Pictures of the movement with alarm are shown in Ly-Welch, pages 150,151, 151A, 154, and 155.
