Identical in every way to the early Howard banjo, including glasses, dial, 8 day time only movement, weight, and all accessories. The dial is signed, "E.Howard and Co. Boston", the weight is an old original No. 5 weight, the movement is identical to the No. 5 Howard movement but is not signed. Pendulum tie down is in place, weight baffles in the weight chute, metal cover over the bottom of the chute. The case is 29 inches long, stained imitation of polished rosewood. Here you get a $3000 look for half the price. Ly- American, page 117.
