Winterhalter and Hofmeier 8 day movement in an English roll bottom short drop case. 29 inch flame mahogany case with large carved wings on the sides and carving around the lower glass. The octagon bezel wood is an inch thick with a deep bevel, inside out, and held to the case body with four pegs. The bottom is rounded. There are doors on each side of the case to access the movement or hang the pendulum. The 12 inches metal dial has been repainted and looks very good. The movement is early, spring wound, bell strike, brass gears in wood plates, and is running. The bowed glass has some new putty over the remaining old putty. A large part of the inside case is paper covered.
