Condition: the dial has been strengthened and the signature relined, and many chips in the background restored. The case has French feet, scalloped skirt, reeded side columns with brass capitals, and fluted columns on the hood. The chimeys and fret appear to have been restored maybe 50 years ago, a pretty good look of color and inlay, but not a perfect match. Has good period tin canister weights (filled with sand and iron bits). Minute hand has been repaired; seconds hand could be improved. Nice size that will fit in 7.5 foot ceilings. Note also Yankee cut-outs in the plates to save brass. Height 86 inches
