Condition: this clock must have been polished weekly by a maid, since virtually all of the silvering/gilding is gone. However everything is complete and sound, the platform cylinder escapement intact, hands original. What you have is two sets of block and tackle, spanned by a marine lantern at top, containing an aneroid barometer, a capstan lower left containing a compass in its top. Then a large ships wheel, the center of which is a tub containing the timepiece. The whole on a piece of black marble in good condition with no nicks and that with a final bronze sill it sets on. For additional information on this clock, see Derek Roberts' book titled Mystery, Novelty and Fantasy Clocks, page 259.
