C.1791 (dated) Danish Tall clock, 8-day, time and strike, brass dial with painted case.

Condition: this clock has been attractively restored, the case painted a medium rose color, with gray and gold accents. The restoration on the case was done professionally and has a muted antique appearance. The well made movement with rack and snail strike is similar to an English model from the same time period, but with more delicate pillars. The brass dial is a bit more crude, the dial plate of hammered brass and the spandrels and chapter of cast lead. The movement was recently cleaned and re-strung and is running OK. Dial dimensions = 11.2 x 15" Case height = 82"
