A Reproduction Laterndluhr in the style of 1820, rosewood veneer, with an old 1-weight timepiece movement.

Condition: like new, this cabinetmaker was good with veneer, but apparently did not have an original to copy, as his proportions are slightly off and the top is not removable and the top door lifts out rather than swings out which is the norm [throat and bottom glass do lift out properly]. The silvered dial is signed Joh. Borowansky, Wien, and with a good period cast bezel from still another clock. Overall a good looking clock that can serve as a place holder until you can afford an original. Height 38 inches
