C.1800, French, Morbier Clock, crown wheel and verge, 2-weight, 8-day, with composite dial with cast lead chapter ring, spandrels and arch decorations. Condition: the cords have frayed and need re-newing. The original alarm parts are missing (but do not affect the normal operation of the bell strike movement). The hands have been broken and repaired, and need additional attention. The robust movement has a little rust on a couple of pinions, but nothing serious. Movement will clean up just fine. No side doors. With original cigar shaped iron weights. One of the earlier Morbiers we have sold. Height 53 inches
