Condition: this is a lovely set with most of the original gilding intact, finely chased hands, original dial that is perfect, and double signed movement, so there is no question of its origin. The one small loss is that the gilt trim for the bases of the side pieces is missing, the holes now filled. As most French enthusiasts know, the various French makers (Japy, Marti, Pons, Vincenti, etc) imprinted most of the movements made after 1850, and with their latest award, and the year of that award. Since this movement bears the award year of 1900, we know it was not made before that date. Height 11 inches
