Condition: clock is in good running order. Some restoration over the years, strike hammers replaced and the Geneva stopwork are absent from the rear plate of the large round movement. Most of these clocks run for only a day or 2, and it is uncommon to find an 8-day (there are 2 others in this sale of 30 hour duration). Porcelain dial is very good, only a small fleck near 12 where the dial attaches to the dial plate with a screw. The dial surround has discolored on this clock, and some of the gilding has been painted over. See a similar example in Kaltenbock's book, Viennese Timepieces, (1993)page 176.
