C.1828, Chauncey Ives, Bristol, Conn, 30-hour time/strike wooden movement pillar and scroll shelf clock. Condition: Refinished mahogany veneered case is in very nice condition with some restoration. The top glass is old, but new to this case, and the strip that separates the upper and lower glass has been restored. The skirt appears to be original, but the feet have been properly replaced. Bottom tablet glass appears to be original to the case, but has been repainted in place, a handsomely done job by Lee Davis. Dial is a little dark with some stains and stress cracks in the paint. Finials are modern. Minute hand has been repaired. Nice legible label. Cosmetically excellent+ . Height 31.5 inches
