C.1890, French, Antony Bailly, Lyon, Ormolu and Cloisonne garniture set, with matching side pieces, 8-day time and bell strike. Condition: all of the multi-color enamel work is in outstanding condition. One drip ring is missing from one candelabra; pendulum is a proper replacement. This is a magnificent set, with cloisonne on the dial, surround bottom bands, side panels top arches and top finial. On the dial, the roman numerals are cut into engraved shields, and filled with black enamel, All 4 corners feature caryatids, finely detailed ladies, all 4 feet feature a lions head and a giant lions paw foot beneath. One of the large flame finials on top is slightly bent, but can be turned. About as good as it gets. Height 18.3 inches
