22 October 2024
Condition: overall excellent condition, with most of the original gilding intact. The annular time ring is around the "equator" section of a golden globe, which is serviced by opening the hinged framing around the globe. Strikes daintily on a coiled wire gong, and repeats the nearest hour at will by flicking a tiny lever on the rear of the clock. A tiny soldier, stands next to the globe, one arm in the air and his left hand holding a shield. Movement has been cleaned and is running reliably. A small lever on the right side is flicked to start the balance after winding. Note early spelling of Wienn. Height 5.5 inches
