C.1875, Austrian, L. Petrzyk in Wien, Grand Sonnerie, 3-weight Vienna Regulator in a fine Gothic style case with light oak veneer.
Anonymous (not verified)
22 October 2024
Condition: there are some minor losses, one side tip to center finial and so on, but nothing that is obvious without concentrated examination. If you have Steve Nelson's catalog from Auction No. 4 in 2002, you will find a Petrzyk clock with nearly identical movement, double pin spanner instead of center impulse pin, free standing gong support and other refinements. The night-silent lever is still intact. Original silvered beat scale is in bottom of case. Note signature on dial is weak, but is definitely Petrzyk. Minute hand has been carefully copied, not quite as delicate as it should be. Height 48.5 inches
