Condition: the very bottom block of dark red marble is separated from the main case (simple glue joint). Movement lacks a pendulum. The original patinated black finish in the bronze is excellent. Note that Diana was the Roman God of Hunting, and homage to her was necessary to assure success on the hunt. Her image as a huntress was unexcelled. The well made movement is signed Pons. Note this was originally a silk thread suspension, and someone has added a spring block to the bridge, for a more modern pendulum. One can easily put it back to original, or leave it as is. Height 28.5 inches
