Condition: movement is sound and complete, and beveled glass is good except for a small chip in the top glass and a tiny corner chip in one side glass and the rear glass; one corner upright has a casting flaw. Note both front and rear of the case have a hinged door. Porcelain dial is signed as in headline, fired in; number 158 on both case and movement. For comparison, see Derek Roberts' book titled Carriage and Other Traveling Clocks, page 217, fig 15-17, showing a clock by this maker C.1860, and also note this case style came into vogue again in the 1930s. Height of case only 3.9 inches, width 4.6 inches, total height with handle 5.25 inches.
