C.1825, French, Doniere and Matelin, Fabricantes de Bronzes a Paris, rounded Gothic mantel clock, ormolu with applied figures, Winged Cherubs putting Chicks back in a nest. Condition: this case is still quite bright with original gilding. The one deficiency on this clock is the broken dial, which has chips glued in place and white paint applied at 3 o'clock. The dial is signed as in the headline. Moon hands are original. Well made silk thread pendulum movement bears no signature, only the single letter "L". Height 13 inches
