Condition: the bell strike 8-day movement seems to tick and strike fine. The bronze case is very heavy, all cast as one piece, except for the smooth back which is screwed on. The top of the case has Bacchus, God of Wine, his hair filled with grapes and grape vines; the sides of the case with additional vines, and a fountain below the dial with a feline face, and the water appearing to flow from its mouth. One minor defect in the dial is a very small hole at around 12:30. Other items we found on the internet by this artist were a figure and a small desk tray with a bird. Height 17.5 inches
