Condition: the faux rosewood case is in good condition, and the tablets are original. Albert Howard was Edwards younger brother, apprenticed under Edward, and as he grew, became very involved in the clock business, making movements with his own name during the 1860 and No. 151;70s, and serving as general manager of E. Howard and Co., from 1881-93. The paper over zinc dial is original, with margin losses. This movement is identical in all respects, except signature, to a regular Howard and Davis No. 4. Weight marked with No. 5; case hanger replaced; lower baffle replaced and too thick. Runs and keeps time. Height 32 inches
