C.1890, French, Clock with Barometer, in the form of a giant carriage clock, onyx top and bottom, with exposed curved platform escapement on the dial center, 8-day. Condition: Overall very good condition; the silvered platform has tarnished from fingers touching the F/S adjuster. An Aneroid barometer in the top of the case seems to be in working order. The movement is a conventional round French style with hour and half striking on a coiled flat wire gong mounted to the bottom of the case. Note fancy bezel with all brilliants intact. An interesting novelty clock. Height 10.25 inches
