Condition: Refinished walnut case in generally good condition with carved leaves and flowers, rather than the more typical leaves and grapes; bird at top has been broken and glued. Case houses a cast brass plate, spring wound movement. Pendulum and hands are original. Bellows have been replaced with a modern plastic version, but could be easily restored with a pair from an old wreck. Wooden bird is a later replacement, has no articulated wings as is appropriate. There is a small label on the backboard from a Philadelphia jeweler who may have retailed this clock. Movement is clean and clock is in good running order. Ht 21" [53.3cm]
