Condition: Overall very good to excellent original condition. Retains great original dial with strong Howard signature, proper signed movement, also with No. 5, good pendulum and tie down and nice tablet. For reference see Tran Ly's book titled American Clocks, [part 1], page 123. Case hanger does need tightening / better screws; there are a couple extra holes in the case back where movement tabs were re-located, and wooden horizontal weight-stop is missing (this is a strip that is easy to replace, see detail foto on lot 375-a). These larger Howards are getting very hard to find. Ht 36" [91.5cm]
