C.1810, 8-day American Tall Case, a formal pine case from a wooden works clock with a label of Sperry and Co., Waterbury, now with a New Hampshire 8-day brass movement from the same time period.

Condition: this is another of the clocks that we picked up in Weston, Mass, restored by the Polaroid researcher. He made 2 interesting pulleys for this movement, and fitted a later pair of hands. The well made movement has large cut outs in the bottom as you would expect from NH, and also very unusual bulbous pillars. This clock was running in the master bedroom when we acquired it. The case is white pine with a mellow caramel finish, and with a small pearl decoration in the center of the door; feet and scrolls are original, old finials from another clock. Has a good Wilson dial that could use a cleaning, but is still quite good for its age; floral decorations in the corners and arch are still nice. Label is about half there; you can read much of the text. Ht 83.5" [212cm]
