C.1900, German, Junghans, Uncommon swinging arm clock, boy with hand in his pocket, other arm supporting the clock.

Condition: the spelter statue has had much of its brass finish worn away, but is still original, with no evidence of breaks or repairs. The clock arm is in good order, except that someone has added some simple steel washers to the lead counter weight at the bottom. We are unsure if their goal, since swingers react OPPOSITE to a regular pendulum, in that lowering the ball or more weight in the bottom will actually speed the clock up. It is close to keeping good time, if you are patient and apply the proper principle. The porcelain dial with a repair near 6 o'clock. Ht overall 19.2" [49cm]
