Condition: Refinished mahogany case in good condition with minor veneer repairs. Case has had repairs to the backboard by the use of corrugated nails to repair a crack. There is evidence this is not the first movement in this case, as there are 3 unexplained holes in the backboard, with recesses on the case back for nuts. Hands and finial are not original. In spite of its alterations, it is still a decorative early banjo. Ht 34" [86.3 cm]
