C.1828 Ephraim Downes, Bristol, Conn, 30-hour, 2-wt, time and strike, wood movement, pillar and scroll shelf clock.

Condition: Mahogany veneered case in generally good condition, but in need of restoration. Scroll top appears to have been made out of old wood, but is a replacement done maybe 50 years ago, the tips broken and glued a couple of times already. Dial is original to the case, but is quite dark and needs a trip to the Dial House. Original bell has been replaced with a wire gong. Door lock is missing. Case does retain an original tablet that is restorable. Hands and pendulum are not original. Finials are modern. Rt top cord roller missing. Solid cast finials are modern, but replacements are available from Fred Ringer or Geo Bruno. Ht 30.5" [77 cm]
