C.1900, German, Georg Schneider, porcelain case with a French 8-day time and bell strike movement.

Condition: A very pretty blue and white Delft style case in good condition, except for a glued in chip along the right margin. There is a name on the bottom of the case that reads "Soreffel" and a logo of a German eagle with Schneider name above. Porcelain dial has a tiny chip at the time side winding arbor and the bottom edge. Hands are original. The strike bell has been replaced with a steel one, sounds OK. Runs and strikes. The interesting case has a "shingle" roof and many blue vines and blossoms. Ht 14" [35.5 cm]
