Condition: Pressed brass and painted dial surround with the name Gambrinus embossed into the brass at the bottom. Gambrinus is considered the "Patron Saint of Beer" and was used by many brewery companies in their advertising or as a carved figure on their brewery building. Original porcelain dial has some chips and cracks. Hands are original. Cases houses a small wood plate and brass gears movement with an alarm. Original brass pendulum has been replaced with an old turned wood item. Also old pine-cone weights are later than this model calls for; pend + weights can be replaced by anyone familiar with black forest items. Ht 11.25" [28.5cm]
