C.1902, Jahresuhrenfabrik, 400-day torsion pendulum timepiece in very good condition with an original compensating disc pendulum. Condition: Movement is nice and clean with very little tarnish on the brasswork. The brass base is somewhat tarnished and will need polishing. Dome has a couple of small chips and appears to be original. Porcelain dial is perfect and the hands are original. Movement has disc pendulum with temperature compensation according to the Andreas Huber design. Details on the Huber pendulum can be found in Terwilliger's 400 Day Clock Repair Guide, pages 26, 32 and 39. The need for such compensation was later reduced due to Terwilliger's introduction of Invar suspension springs. Ht 10.25" [26 cm]
