C.1830, Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, Conn., 30-hour time/strike wood movement half column and splat shelf clock.

Condition: Refinished mahogany veneered case in good condition with some minor veneer loss. Bottom glass is old and cracked on the edge and is not original. Hoadley short movement with ivory bushings and bridge is correct. Proper Hoadley dial is good; somewhat yellowed. Hands are not original (home made). Very clean label inside case. Stenciling looks to be original under a heavy coat of varnish. One of the ears on the splat has been repaired. The feet and pineapple finials are very nicely carved copies. Height 29 inches [73.66 cm]
