C.1875, German, Wilhelm Horn, Glashutte, No. 47 movement in another case of the same period.

22 October 2024
Condition: this clock needs some work, but will please a good German mechanic. The well made longer running movement has very large wheels, and a 40 tooth escape wheel, thus indicating a true minute on the dial with an 80 beat pendulum. The great wheel is set up with a Harrison's ratchet for maintaining power, however the pawl is gone (easily made). There is also one dial foot missing, and the porcelain dial has chips and repairs. Pendulum bob is damaged. The movement is signed by the maker in nice engraved script, and with No. 47. Height 43 inches [108cm]
