Condition: Refinished oak case in very clean condition. Original dial has age darkened. Hands, pendulum and tablet are original. Partial label on the back. The Welch commemoratives are the most difficult to find. This clock bears a likeness of the USS Maine, sunk at Havana on 15 February 1898, and setting off the Spanish American War. The sinking was later proven to be accidental. Height 24 inches [60.96 cm]
