Condition: generally good original condition; some nicks and scrapes to the wooden stand. Best part is the provenance. This clock was presented to Mrs. Austin T. Foster, who sponsored and helped to christen the SS Mobil Fuel on May 2, 1957, at Quincy, Mass, launched by Bethlehem Steel, for Kurz Tankers, Inc. This tanker had a capacity of 254,800 barrels. The launch data is on a brass plaque on the rear of the mahogany stand, and the presentation to Mrs. Foster is engraved into the bronze base on the front. Height 10.5 inches
