Condition: the fretted case is in wonderful condition, note use of contrasting woods to add to visual appeal. The Frankfield company made the first all American cuckoo clock, note at this same time period, the German shelf cuckoos mostly had wooden plated movements, and most ran for only 2 days. Of other interest is the appearance of this clock in Ly's book titled Kroeber Clocks, page 347, this model was sold by Kroeber. Ly price guide $1200. Height 22 inches [56cm]
