Condition: overall very good original condition. The finish has some nicks and scrapes commensurate with the age of the clock; the "F-S" adjuster hand is lacking, no other visible shortcomings. The movement in this clock was the centerpiece of Naval contracts for both WWI and II, their catalog description includes: "detached eleven jeweled escapement, compensating balance wheel, Breguet hairspring, and cut steel pinions." The original dial is excellent, orig hands, hinges, lock. Note left spring has been broken for a long time; runs OK on right spring, as advertised. For additional details, see Ly's book on Seth Thomas, 3rd Ed, page 772, figure 2642. Diameter = 16.75" [42.5cm]
