Condition: this clock stood idle in a home in New Hampshire for several decades, and the movement is covered with dust and grime (still complete and ticks/strikes OK with hand pressure) The mahogany veneer case will need some restoration: there is a vertical split in the bottom plinth, feet are absent, and the LH return at the throat is missing. The hood has a nice scallop around the dial and delicate scrolls, however is missing its side columns and the rosettes are too small.. The rolling moon and false plate are signed Walker and Hughes (of Birmingham), who would have supplied the dial only to the clockmaker. Complete with pulleys, weights and pendulum. Pend needs rating nut. Dial paint is original with crazing; all 3 hands original as well. Height 84 inches [210cm]
