C.1890, American Cased Westminster Chime rolling moon, tall clock, mahogany case with Elliott movement, made for J. E. Caldwell and Co., Philadelphia. Condition: overall very good original condition, the mahogany case with original finish, beveled glass in waist door, original hands, weights, pulleys and door key. It is running and chiming, but would benefit from cleaning. Chimes the quarters on 4 heavy flat wire gongs and the hours on a deep toned 5th. Top door lock needs service to function. Dial is very nice, with super engraving in the center; moon dial needs some touch up. If you have 8' ceiling, must leave off finial. High quality throughout. Height 98.5 inches [250cm]
