C.1800, English, 8-Day, Square Brass Dial tall clock, in a narrow oak case, as-found. Condition: the movement was originally a 30-hour and has been converted to 8-day with the addition of brass "wings" to accommodate the winding drums. The 12" dial is missing the top right spandrel; dial center was re-worked and engraved at the time of the conversion, maybe 100 years ago, also needs bell. Chapter ring is signed John Hartley. There are nick and scrapes to the case, columns are loose on the hood and the top finials are new. Does tick and strike; door lock intact. Height 90 inches [228cm]
