Condition: the case was refinished long ago and with a mellow golden appearance. The top right and left finials were newly turned [expert job]. There is a small chip on the top right molding, and the bottom rt finial has a chip in the sharp part that does not show if you put it to the rear. The outer paper chapter has been replaced and stained to match the center. The pendulum, hands, top and signed beat scale are all original. For reference, see Tran Ly's book on Ansonia [1998], page 184. Ly price guide if original = $1250. Height 54 inches [137cm]
