C.1895, Boston Clock Co., for Daniel Pratt and Son, Boston, serial No. 738, single weight wall regulator in Cherry.
Condition: this clock has been nicely restored, the case refinished, and the tablet nicely touched up. The movement is original to the case, however, someone along the line, lost the 4 brass tabs that helped hold it into place along with the rear center screw. You will note the movement is identical to later Chelsea wall regulators, but is not signed. Also note that the workman cut away part of the pendulum stick to compensate for a forward leaning wall, when he should have simply put a shim behind the bottom of the case. Best part is the original dial with original Pratt signature, and overall the clock is in good condition and in running order (mov't dry and needs oiling). A cousin to this clock sold on eBay, Oct 25, 2006, item No. 250040437499, for $2503. Height 38 inches [95cm]
