Condition: The ball has a couple of small dimples, however retains original/old finish. Hands are original, but the very tip of the minute shaft is broken away. The clock does run, and the hands do advance...intermittently, and the shaft will need repair for reliable operation. The statue is in excellent condition, with original title plaque and artist [Louis Moreau] attached to the base; finish was restored in France some time ago.. Overall, a very nice swinger that will respond to some restoration. For info on French swing clocks, see D. Roberts' book, Mystery, Novelty and Fantasy Clocks, chapter 12. Height 32.5 inches [83cm]
