Condition: the only shortcoming on this clock is the bottom, which lost its small tapered bracket and someone long ago affixed 3 oak moldings, and 2 alternate finials that look OK. This clock was "Presented to Cushing Academy by the Class of '96, January 1st, 1894" and the brass bob is so engraved. Retains original signed movement, weight, pendulum, beat scale, hanger, pulley and hardware. Note weight retains original knurled top and bottom. There is an old repair to the bottom of the pendulum stick that is hidden within the pendulum; light colored stick is original. If not for the bottom, this would bring $12,000. For additional details, see Tran Ly's 3rd edition book on Seth Thomas, page 286. Ht as shown, 53"
