C.1900, E. Howard and Co., Boston, "No. 5 Banjo", 8-day weight driven timepiece in a grained cherry case, smallest size.

Condition: the dial has had the figures and signature repainted over the original crazed white surface. The bottom has been knocked out a couple of times when the cable broke, but is still there. The wood in the sides that hold the throat screws has been damaged and needs a small sliver of wood glued in to help hold the throat. Case retains original graining and finish in excellent condition. Proper iron weight with No. 5 cast in. Outstanding bob with decorative pattern intact. The original movement is properly singed and has maintaining power. Martha Smallwood can make this dial wonderful. Height 29 inches
