C.1845, Brewster and Ingrahams, Bristol, Conn., 8-day, brass spring, time and gong strike beehive shelf clock. Condition: Rosewood veneered case in pretty good condition with a small piece of the case missing on the top back edge. There is a dry split in top round section of door, and a piece of the wood has broken away. The ivory escutcheon is missing from lower door. Original painted dial has some minor flaking and wear to the bottom numbers. Minute hand is a replacement, while the hour is original. Original movement is signed and retains original brass springs. Wonderful etched and cut tablet. Height 19 inches [48.26 cm]
