Condition: Refinished mahogany veneered case in nice condition with some minor veneer loss and repairs. There is a crack in the veneer next to the right column. Stenciling on the splat and columns was re-done. The tablet is exceptionally nice done on old glass, Exchange-Manchester. Original dial is in very fine condition with a very thin paint flake. Hands are original. Top glass is cracked (we taped it) Original groaner movement is complete and sound, and with nice square weights. Nice label with minor stains is complete and fully legible, also with 1905 repair card. Ashel Barnes had a son, Edward, who worked in Bristol after 1840. Height 35.25 inches [89.53 cm]
