Condition: this clock has seen some roughness; the dial has many hairlines and is chipped by the attaching tabs at 1, 3 and 9. the seat board mounted movement has heavy turned baluster pillars. The most interesting feature is the 2-snail, single rack strike system, with moving hammer that strikes quarters followed by hours with a single hammer. As with most clocks of this period, the duration is 56 hours. The simple case seems original to the movement; rear door is new. A neat 18th century clock with potential. Height 14.6 inches [37cm]
