C.1890, French, Marble and Gilt bronze figural mantel clock, Victorious Archer, that was retailed by A. Stowell and Co., Boston. Condition: dark green marble based figural clock in very nice condition with just a small repair to the right corner that broke off and was reattached (looks OK). Main male figure retains most of its original gilding; note butterflies under the dial, torch, quiver of arrows, and cornucopia with ram's head end to left. Original gilt dial is extra nice with original moon hands. Serial number on the movement and pendulum match; good 8-day bell strike movement. This clock was in use in Dana's TV room, see detail image on desk. Ht. 15"
